I had just watched a classic Film Noir movie at the Hollywood Theater and felt like having a feew drinks and play some Video poker to cap off my night out, I walked into Sam's Billiards. there Iwasn't in to shoot pool this visit. I ordered a pint of Rainer and settles down at a video poker machine next to a pool table where a game was underway. So I could play video Poker and pause to watch the players shoot pool. So it was kinda nice to have something to take my mind off the Video Game as i sipped my pint. Nice tables to sit out if your eating.I think the lamps over the table look rather classy. There are only three video poker machines in Sam's. That wasn't a problem as I was the only person interested in plkaying them.
Everybody else was at the pool tables shooting pool. With the exception of a couple chatting at a table all by themselves. so there must be something to this place. I was walking by Sam's after seeing a film at The Hollywood Theatre and thought it looked like an interesting place to drop in and have a drink.
I was surprised to find a pool tournament in progress. The room is large and has a nice friendly feel to it.Ī little video poker and casually watched. There are a few video poker tables here and there in the establishment. There's a bar near the entrance and a grill area as well near it staffed with helpful, friendly people. There are several dining tables for eating and a few bar stools at the bar. I spotted some old T-shirts they had on display from the 1970's of Warner Brothers Cartoon character Yosemite Sam. I wish the had T-shirts like that for sale.
